Temple, Todd Todd Temple has a simple life mission: to let
teenagers see and share the thrill of living for
Christ. To this end, he uses a variety of media,
including books, magazines, video, multimedia,
the Internet, and live events. Todd's first
book, Creative Dating, was released in 1986 and
has sold more than 95,000 copies. He has
authored 18 books for teenagers and adults.
Todd founded 10 TO 20 in 1991 to bring live
ministry events to youth as well as present
events for other national youth ministries.
He co-founded 10 TO 20 Press in 1995, which
publishes innovative products and books for
teenagers, including Cheap Thrills, Outrageous
Dates and Wild Truth Journal. He has written
dozens of articles for magazines such as Focus
On The Family's Breakaway and Brio, and Youth
Specialties' Youthworker.
Todd received his B.A. in Social
Ecology from the University of California,
Irvine, and began directing a junior high group
in his local church under the discipleship of
youth ministry guru Jim Burns. Four years
later, Todd accepted a position with Youth
Specialties in San Diego, California, where
he directed national student-conference tours
including Grow For It and On The Edge. Todd's
high-energy writing style lends itself to non-
print media outlets, and he has written and
produced events, multimedia, and video projects
for national organizations such as the Josh
McDowell Ministry, Youth For Christ/USA, and
Promise Keepers. His efforts reach more than
100,000 students and leaders each year.
When recovering from his hectic
schedule, Todd recuperates at his home in Del
Mar, California (wedged between a horse racing
track and Jenny Craig's big beach house). He
reads history and languages for fun, is an
occasional surfer, and attends Solana Beach
Presbyterian Church.
